From Readers:
“I have been SO enjoying your articles, the Good Housekeeping piece about staring, the “Glass Child” one almost made me cry. As someone with multiple disabilities myself I really relate to so much of what you’re talking about, and it’s incredibly refreshing to read a parents’ perspective that is healthy, disability-positive and inclusive of everyone involved. Kudos to you!!”
“ Your CNN article has a wonderful balance between your lived experience as a parent and what you might advise friends whose children are going through a lot. I have a neurotypical daughter who is now 22 and a neurodivergent son who is 25. I lost patience with people saying they can’t imagine ever doing it (life=lemons, you step up) or offering assistance and not following through. You got across a sense of needing the understanding, not empty platitudes, of others.”

"Jaclyn has produced several short form and long form articles for my team, and she does so with a level of expertise rarely seen in this industry. Beyond completing assignments quickly and effectively, she proves her excellence by fully immersing herself in her beats. She doesn't balk at attending conventions or doing extra legwork to get the job done. Given her experience as a mother, disability advocate, and writer, she will be an asset to any team she joins."
